Heasdspace workplace benefit activation

I designed a unified in-app enrollment experience that enables users to seamlessly activate employer-sponsored Headspace memberships through eligibility triaging and flexible verification flows, including email, employee ID, and SSO authentication.

Context

Headspace partners with employers to offer free or subsidized memberships as a workplace benefit. However, activation was fragmented across organization-specific enrollment pages outside of the Headspace app, creating a disconnected onboarding experience and increasing friction for users trying to access their benefit.

Problem

Users had to leave the app and navigate external employer portals to redeem their membership, resulting in confusion, drop-off, and inconsistent enrollment experiences across organizations. The activation process also needed to support multiple verification methods depending on employer setup, adding operational and UX complexity.

Solution

I designed a unified in-app benefit activation experience that allows users to enroll directly within Headspace. The system included eligibility triaging and streamlined activation flows across email verification, employee ID, and SSO-based enrollment paths—creating a more seamless, scalable, and self-serve onboarding experience for employer-sponsored users.
